While we continue to live in this time of uncertainty, we want you to know that we are still here for you and want to continue to keep you updated on our progress.
Throughout this crisis, Stavanger Dental has been one of the few offices that has been continuing to provide emergency care to the community. We have been working diligently, developing and implementing measures to provide you with the level of care and safety that you would expect from us.
Naturally, with developments such as these, there are bound to be changes that surround how our care will be provided to you. We will continue to receive guidance from our Chief Medical Officer and the Newfoundland and Labrador Dental Board.
Some of the changes you will see include:
At this time, we have over ten weeks of appointments to reschedule, and with our current safety and social distancing protocols, each appointment takes longer. It is possible that your upcoming scheduled appointment will be moved to accommodate those appointments missed as a result of the pandemic. As such, we will be calling patients affected by the mandatory COVID-19 shutdown—as well any patients we require to reschedule—just as quickly as we possibly can.
So don't worry—we will not be forgetting about you! We are implementing these measures to take care of you and our staff as best as we possibly can. In this ever changing environment, we will continue to adapt and make changes as needed to better provide our services to you. We ask for your patience and understanding as we work to deliver quality and safe dental care to all the patients and staff of our wonderful clinic.
The Doctors and Staff of Stavanger Dental
At Stavanger Dental, we have a wholistic approach to our patients' oral health.
Because we already know how important oral health is to a body’s overall health, our dedicated and gentle team of doctors and hygienists spend time everyday educating patients about the link between their mouth and the rest of their body. And we never tire of emphasizing just how important that link is!
We’ve staffed our office with a caring team. We take time to answer questions and help our patients understand their dental treatment and its link to their overall health. It is important to us that our patients feel relaxed and comfortable about their dental care.
Whether you come in the morning or the evening, whether you see our doctors or our hygienists, whether you are a child or an adult, you can be assured that you are receiving dental care that has your best interests at heart.
Because at Stavanger, a smile on your face puts a smile on ours!

Have you ever wondered what makes a smile so powerful?
It’s no surprise that smiling can have positive mental and physical benefits. Research has shown that smiling can positively affect functions like our sense of well-being, our blood pressure, our stress and anxiety levels and it can even strengthen our immune system!
At Stavanger we are advocates for our patients’ overall health. And smiling more promotes that overall well being! When you meet our compassionate and dedicated team, we’ll have a look at things like the colour of your teeth, the arc of your smile and the amount of gum you display and its colour. We’ll consider the evenness of your maxillary gum line, the symmetry of your incisal edges, the amount of space in your buccal corridor. We’ll evaluate the cant, the spacing, the bite, and the symmetry of your dental midline when we examine you. At Stavanger Dental, we want to put a smile on your face that puts a twinkle in your eye as well!
